Victor Banta Photography: Behind the Scene of the Retro-a-go-go! Fashion Photoshoot

We have been asked how the amazing photoshoot for Retro-a-go-go! came to be a reality?  It was through networking.
Good friend Bruce Rogers, recommended Victor Banta Photography to Doug and Kirsten Pagacz of Retro-a-go-go! Doug and Kirsten reviewed our photography and fell in love with our style, beauty, and quality of our photography. And we fell in love with Retro-a-go-go’s fun and unique vintage and retro products. As you can see from the images captured, our combined creativity and talent resulted in a beautiful photoshoot that catches attention and attracts customers to their products!

Photographer Victor Banta’s photo shoot with the Retro-a-go-go! team was a fun and exciting photoshoot for everyone involved! Working with a great team is key to creating amazing images that sell products. The photoshoot team consisted of our client, Retro-a-go-go! owner’s Doug and Kirsten Pagacz contributing as Art Directors and they were invaluable as they jumped in assisting with wardrobe. Stephanie Strowbridge did an excellent job as makeup and hair artist (MUA), as well as Retro’s own Michaela, assisting with wardrobe, as well as modeling. There were three gorgeous female models and one male model during this exhilarating 10 hour fashion photo shoot, all taking place at Victor Banta’s Photography studio in Hell, Michigan.

Retro-a-go-go! is a retailer of retro and vintage inspired women’s fashion accessories, apparel, jewelry, and home décor. They offer fashion accessories such as make-up cases and compacts, purses, jewelry, parasols, and original artwork by Doug Pagacz. They also hold licensing with General Motors and Ford Motor Company.

Working with a creative team on photo shoots creating beautiful artistic fashion photographs is both exhilarating and very rewarding. Sharing my art with the world is a joy and feeds my soul.

On The Road With Victor Banta

Photographer Announces Two-Part Plan to Combine Business and Art

(Ann Arbor, MI …) Photographer Victor Banta has been to over 40 countries, all 50 states, and Puerto Rico. Most recently he spent time in Germany, the Rocky Mountains, and the Netherlands. And he’s only just begun to travel. With his newly announced transition to full-time photographer, he plans to visit the places he’s missed, and revisit his favorites. “Whether for business, pure art, or humanitarian reasons, photography captures the beauty and the essence of the moment,” he says. “I want to continually expand my business and my influence outside the bounds of Southeast Michigan.”

A life-long lover of the art form, Banta started his photography career in 1973 as Pinckney (Michigan) High School newspaper photographer. He continued his studies of photography as a fine art at The University of Arizona in Tucson while earning B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering (with specializations in digital image processing, Infrared sensing, remote sensing, and planetary sciences). While in Tucson, he studied photography masters such as Ansel Adams, Annie Leibovitz, and Bruce Weber at the Center for Creative Photography, home to the national archives of Ansel Adams. Then, in 1991, he opened his first photography studio, where he specialized in fashion, movie/film stills, portraits, and product photography. Continue reading »
